The X axis of this plot shows interval endpoints of the first factor. The left Y axis shows values of boxes of the second factor. Specifically, red dots show arithmetic average, while boxes show lower quartile, median, and upper quartile in ascending order (two to three of these may have the same value). The right Y axis shows the number of structures in each interval, which is visualized by the light gray bar plot.
Highlighted PDB entries are visualized as blue dots. Alternatively, they can be visualized by a blue box plot which boxes show lower quartile, median, and upper quartile in ascending order (two to three of these may have the same value as well), while averages are shown as blue dots.
